Anna Maria Chlumsky (born Anna Maria Chlumsky) is an American actress. She began acting as a child and gained fame for her character, Vada Oltenfuss as seen in My Girl and My Girl 2 (both films). After her first roles, she went on hiatus between 1999 and 2005 in order to go to college. Anna Chlumsky is a Chicago Illinois born native of the city. She was born to Nancy Chlumsky Sr. and Frank Chlumsky Jr. on 3 December 1980. She was born in Chicago Illinois, the home of Nancy and Frank Chlumsky Jr. Both her parents are gifted artists while her mother is a performer and actress. Her father plays the saxophone. As a 10 month old girl, she was a model in Marshall Fields commercials. Her parents separated when she was 2 and the child was taken care of by a single mother. The year 2010 was the first time she appeared in Marshall Fields ads as a model for a child. When she was only two the parents split and she was taken care of by her mother alone.
